It is that time again, the Astros get their turn on the center stage of MLB Network. MLBN had its annual 30 Clubs in 30 Days tour make a stop in West Palm Beatch earlier this week.
Astros manager A.J. Hinch opened up about the team’s pitching rotation:
“The starting pitchers are the tone-setters of the day. When we’re right, we’re rolling out a good starting pitcher every night. We haven’t had a full rotation intact for over a year now. Dallas [Keuchel] sets the tone at the top. The Cy Young version of him is excellent. Last year he battled through a lot of different things, mostly the execution, a little bit of fatigue and injury. When he’s right, we’re right. …Our rotation needs to set the tone, hand the ball to a really effective bullpen. Keeping them intact as a rotation and having them work as a functional unit is very key.”
Dallas Keuchel talked about his struggles in 2016 and how he has adjusted:
Lance McCullers showed Al Leiter what he’s done to avoid the injury bug:
Brian McCann talked about adjusting to a new pitching staff:
Ken Giles went through what he has done to get back to his Phillies form:
George Springer opened up about the switch to center field:
