The Houston Astros appeared on track to give up only four hits and lose 2-1 on Monday against the Mets. Enter Mets LHP Tom Gorzelanny to help the Astros win 5-2 in Port St. Lucie.

Gorzelanny walked Jon Singleton and gave up a single to Juan Centeno to put runners on first and second. A.J. Reed ripped a ball to the right side, allowing pinch runner Jack Mayfield to tie the game — Centeno was thrown going to third base.

Gorzelanny continued to struggle, allowing Alejandro Garcia and Colin Moran to reach baseball. He forced home a run with a walk to Anibal Sierra.

Tony Kemp blew the game open with a single to center, allowing Garcia and Moran to score.

RHP David Paulino had the strongest outing among the Astros pitchers, pitching two scoreless innings. Michael Feliz (three strikeouts) and Joe Musgrove both allowed a solo home run two innings of work.

Alex Bregman had the Astros’ lone extra-base hit: a double off Mets starter P.J. Conlon.
