Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa had easily his greatest moment in his baseball career on Wednesday night. Correa and the Astros won the 2017 World Series Championship.
But Correa’s night wasn’t over. He was in the middle of a interview with Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal when he paused. He turned to his girlfriend Miss Texas USA Daniella Rodriguez and dropped to one knee.
Correa asked for Rodriguez’s hand in marriage. "Daniella Rodriguez, will you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you marry me?,” he said. Rodriguez blew through a barrier to embrace Correa. She would say yes.

Rodriguez was the 2016 winner of Miss Texas USA and was Miss Texas Teen USA in 2013. Correa, Rodriguez and their dog Groot have been stars on Instagram during the past season.
It’s an awesome moment for a young star for the Astros on the night of Houston’s greatest in franchise history.
Correa said on the post-game broadcast he didn’t have plan B and the coaches and players knew he was going to do it.
