It has been an interesting American League Championship Series for Yankees third baseman Todd Frazier. Frazier sparked the Yankees offense in Game 3 and he is batting .200 (4x20) with four RBIs.
If Game 3 was Frazier was high point, then Game 6 was a low point. Frazier faced Astros ace Justin Verlander in the fifth inning. He had already a flyout in the third inning and the Astros righty was ahead 1-2.
Verlander picked up his second strike with a curveball on the inner third of the plate, he went back with curveball for strike three. A strikeout isn’t special for Verlander it was Frazier’s swing that made it special.
Frazier’s swing looked like a swiff that could have been mustered by anyone reading TCB. It was a swing that would be described as baby-time frolics. It was a swing modeled after Spongebob Squarepants swinging a jelly fish net.
