ALCS 2017: Astros highlights from Game 6

Springer’s catch and much more...

MLB: ALCS-New York Yankees at Houston Astros Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros have forced a Game 7 in the American League Championship Series. The Astros offense came out again for the first time since the ALDS with seven runs and Justin Verlander pitched seven scoreless inning.

There were plenty of the highlights from Game 6. Many of the Astros highs came from Verlander’s strikeouts. Brian McCann and Jose Altuve got key hits and George Springer had the defensive highlight of the night with a catch off the wall in center field.

The moment that these highlights didn’t include was Verlander waiting to go into the dugout after getting the final out in the seventh. Verlander wanted to make sure he thanked Springer for the catch. It felt like a moment where fans could see the true connections between the Astros and Verlander, moving away from the hired gun status.

There is still over half a day left before Game 7 starts, why not watch more highlights?
