ALCS 2017: Minute Maid Park roof will be closed for Game 6 and 7

Keep it closed.

MLB: ALDS-Boston Red Sox at Houston Astros Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros organization have a few things they can control in the final two games of the American League Championship Series. The team can control their play on the field and the organization can set the status of the roof.

We know one thing on Friday before the lineups are announced, the roof will be closed for Game 6 and 7 — because there will be a game 7. Right?

The Astros annouced Thursday the roof status but did add it was subject to change:

The roof of Minute Maid Park is scheduled to be closed for both Game 6 and potential Game 7 of the ALCS due to impending rain. Roof status is subject to change.

A closed roof could be needed either way with thunderstorms in the area over the weekend. But Minute Maid Park’s profile is far different with the roof open or closed. It can be hard to think with who load the stadium gets with the top on the Juice Box.
