Hooks Even Series with 5-4 Win
Way to keep it interesting! Heading into the bottom of the 8th, CC was down 4-0 with the the looming deficit of being down two games in a five game series starring the Hooks right in the face. However, Garrett Stubbs lead off the inning with a night and would move up to 3rd on a double from Ramon Laureano. Laureano would go to third and Stubbs would score on a J.D. Davis groundout. Nick Tanielu followed up with a double of his own (these were the only extra-base hits for the Hooks) and score Laureano. Bobby Boyd came in as a pinch hitter for James Ramsay and would hit in a single that scored Tanielu. Thanks to a single from Roberto Pena, Boyd would advance to third and then score on a wild pitch. There's a tie ball game.
In the bottom of the ninth, Stubbs again lead off with a walk. Laureano and Tanielu would each get singles which loaded the bases for Antonio Nunez. With just one out, Nunez singled to centerfield and the Hooks get a walk-off in the playoffs!

Lancaster Survives Hit Parade to Force Game 3
What is a Cali League Playoff Game in Lancaster without loads of home runs?
Rancho Cucamonga had four home runs. Lancaster had seven home runs. True Hangar fashion.
The interesting part is that the 7th and 8th hitters are the ones who did most of the damage as they each hit a pair of homers. They were Christian Correa and Aaron Mizell. Unlikely Heroes.
The third and final game is tonight! Winner moves on!
