Wednesday was the last day for many things at Minute Maid Park. It was the last regular season home game of the 2016 season. It was the last day for Tal’s Hill and it was the last day for broadcaster Bill Brown after 30 years of service to the Houston Astros.

The team was not able to send Brown out on a winning note but that didn’t stop the Astros broadcast team from remembering the better times. Brown and partner Alan Ashby talk about the final game at the Astrodome:

Brown reflected on his time with the Astros and what he’ll do next:

And Brown got a special surprise from a fellow retiree:

Vin Scully is retiring after broadcasting Dodgers baseball long enough that the team was still in Brooklyn — 66 years to be exact.

Brown may not be remembered on the same level as Scully, but he’ll not be forgotten in Houston.
