Pitching Duel Ends with Fresno Down 2-1
A real pitching duel that drug on into the night late hours of the night. Fresno would eventually give up a run in the bottom of the 14th without picking up an out. Eury De La Rosa pitched to three batters and despite not giving up a extra-base hit, he gave up a run.
Sadly, that happened after Fresno had the opportunity to win in as they scored in the 8th inning and were up 1-0 in the bottom of the ninth. Brendan McCurry blew his save opportunity and eventually lead to the loss. David Paulino pitched very well in five innings with just two walks and two hits. He struck out five.
This game last a minute shy of five hours.

Hooks Blanked 3-0 by Frisco
When Francis Martes is on the mound, you expect a high chance of a W. However, that didn't happen in this one as Martes allowed all three of the runs. In his defense, only one of the three runs was earned.
That said, the Hooks struck out twelve times. They simply performed very poorly at the plate. They had three hits and three doubles. But, the twelve strikeouts won't work.

Lancaster Falls Late 6-3
Despite leading after the first inning all the way through to the top of the eighth, Lancaster fell. They scored one in the bottom of the first via a Kyle Tucker home run and added one more in the fifth. Jose Hernandez pitched a great game with seven scoreless innings allowing just five base runners. He fanned eight.
But, Ralph Garza gave up three runs in each of the eighth and ninth innings. Lancaster would add just one run in the bottom of the ninth in a comeback attempt.

QC Wins 3-2
In familiar fashion, QC also had twelve strikeouts. The difference is that they they had five walks. They both had three hits. Timing was just better. And the Rangers think they have that skill to themselves....
I feel like I talk about this every week, but Hector Perez is good but has some real issues with control. How do you have six walks in a single game? Just crazy.
