RHP Mike Fiers (7-5, 4.34 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) vs. LHP Hector Santiago (10-5, 4.37 ERA, 1.34 WHIP)
@The_Batguy on twitter (go follow him) did an excellent job of breaking down the Astros woes at the moment. The Astros are making it contact on all pitches at 73.3% -- the worst in the majors. Houston also is first in 1st pitch swings (34.5%) and 3-0 counts (5.5%). 797 strikeouts are the most in the MLB.
The offense has proven to be the sources for the Astros backslide -- but that nothing we didn't already know. But that isn't going to change in one game.
The Astros can only hope for another solid outing from the starter pitcher and bullpen to set the team up for a win with the offense stumbling.
