Nolan Ryan, Mike Scott, and Kevin Bass reflect on the 1986 season.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros celebrated the 30th anniversary of the 1986 Astros. The 1986 Astros won the NL West Division Championship with a record 96-66 -- the second-best record in the National League. The Astros would face the No. 1 team in the National League in the NLCS, New York Mets (108-54).

The Astros-Mets series would be one of the most closely contested and hard fought series in baseball history. Four of the six games were decided by one run with game six ending with a 7-6 win in the 16th inning.

The Astros brought back some a lion's share of the team over the weekend to help celebrate Legend's Weekend at Minute Maid Park. Among the players that were there included Alan Ashby, Kevin Bass, Jose Cruz, Glenn Davis, Phil Garner, Nolan Ryan and Mike Scott.
