AAA Fresno Grizzlies: 5-3 loss to the Tacoma Rainiers

Derek Fisher led the offense for Fresno, going 3-4 with a walk, double and stolen base. Danny Worth chipped in a solo home run and a walk.

Grizzlies starter Cesar Valdez turned in another solid effort, allowing three runs on eight hits over seven innings while striking out three.

AA Corpus Christi Hooks: 6-5 win over the Frisco RoughRiders

An RBI single from Nick Tanielu in the top of the ninth gave the Hooks victory in this contest. Catcher Roberto Pena went 3-4 with three doubles, two runs scored and two RBI. Tanielu, Bobby Boyd, Ramon Laureano and Conrad Gregor all had two hit nights.

Starter Cy Sneed allowed ten hits over six innings but only allowed three runs. Eric Peterson picked up the win for the Hooks, allowing a hit and a walk over three scoreless innings.

High A Lancaster JetHawks: 5-4 win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes

Jason Martin pounded two home runs in this one for Lancaster, giving him 22 on the season for the JetHawks. It's a bit surprising he didn't get a mid-season promotion to Corpus Christi. Johnny Sewald and Trent Woodward also had two hit nights.

Starter Joshua James ended with a no-decision after pitching five and a third innings of three run ball while striking out seven. Chris Murphy earned the win in relief and Andrew Thome picked up his third save.

Low A Quad Cities River Bandits: Off Day

SS Tri-City ValleyCats: 7-1 loss to the Vermont Lake Monsters

Quiet day for the offense as the ValleyCats were held to two hits and two walks. Miguelangel Sierra scored Tri-City's lone run.

It didn't go much better on the pitching side with starter Austin Nicely getting touched up for five runs on four hits and five walks in two and a third innings.

Rookie Greeneville Astros: 10-8 win over the Elizabethton Twins

Greeneveille scored seven runs in the top of the ninth to erase 4-3 deficit and earn the victory. Abraham Toro Hernandez and Carlos Machado each had three hit nights. Luis Payano went 1-3 with two runs scored and a home run.

Greeneville starter Cristian Javier went five strong innings, allowing one run on a hit and three walks with four strikeouts.
