The injury has bit the Houston Astros hard. Luis Valbuena is already on the 15-Day DL. Carlos Gomez and Marwin Gonzalez have both been put on the shelf for hopefully less than 15-days to avoid a DL stint. Former closer Luke Gregerson can now be added to the list.
The Astros announced the team had put Gregerson with a left oblique strain retroactive to July 28. The corresponding move on the 25-man roster is recalling prospect A.J. Reed.
