The Houston Astros have had a clear plan since general manager Jeff Luhnow took over the Houston Astros. That plan was called "The Process" and the main crux was to build within and fill in where need be. Luhnow had has one major deviation from that plan thus far, Cuban infielder Yulieski Gurriel.

Gurriel, 32, signed with the Astros for five-year, $47.5 million deal and could be making his major league debut on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Gurriel is batting .257 thus far through 10 minor league games including three doubles, a home run, and 10 RBIs. He has played two games with the Gulf Coast League Astros, Single-A Lancaster, and Double-A Corpus Christi. He is 1-for-14 with an RBI in his four games with Corpus Christi.

Gurriel has seen time at designated hitter and third base while in the Astros minor league system.
