With the trade deadline mere hours away (3PM Central), we’re providing a central location for all the final rumors, rumblings, and trades going down to the wire.
The triggers were pulled on some trades this weekend, but several players that many thought would be traded at the deadline still remain with their original teams.
The Indians acquired Andrew Miller from the Yankees yesterday, whom the Astros were rumored to have been going after. Several starting pitchers for the Rays have been discussed as possible trade candidates, but none have changed teams as of this writing.
As Brian McTaggart reported over the weekend, there could be a lot of action on Monday once certain pieces start to fall. McTaggart provided the following quote from Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow:
I don't know how things are going to develop. More than likely, if something happens, it will be closer to the actual Deadline, because there's a lot of teams looking for the same group of players. The costs are probably too high to get us to go over the finish line, at this point... I think it will take one or two deals to happen for the others to sort of fall in line behind them.
So sit back, buckle your seatbelts, and discuss your thoughts, rumors, and trade deals below!
