White Homers in 9-4 Loss
You see what happens when you give Alex Bregman the night off? They lose. Teoscar Hernandez still picked up two hits (including a double) but he's not a one man show. Tyler White hit his sixth home run in Triple-A. And, it was a pretty special one in the fact that it was a Grand Slam in the sixth inning when they were down six. So, he brought them within two runs. He has a total of 13 this season with the season about half way over. For comparison sakes, he hit 14 in all of 2015, 15 in all of 2014, and 6 in 2013 (his draft year).

Grills Allows Six Home Runs in 14-6 Loss
That's a lot. Across five innings of work, he gave up eleven hits which included the six home runs. He only walked one and he struck out six so there's some good news? That's one of those situations where the manager just wants to see how the player reacts.
In other news, Garrett Stubbs hit his first Double-A home run. He didn't hit any in 2015 but hit six for Lancaster. And, newly recognized Top 100 prospect by Baseball America, Derek Fisher, hit his 14th of the season.

Armenteros Dominant in 4-0 Win
Rogelio Armenteros had a 74 Game Score in this one mostly due to the fact that he didn't allow any runs and struck out eight. He's missed a lot of bats in Lancaster and is quickly approaching the 100 strikeout mark for the season. He has a four-pitch mix and can occasionally run it up to 94. But, the pair of breaking balls seem to be his main source of strikeouts and his changeup is still lacking. But, that doesn't seem to be hurting him against lefty's as his strikeout rate and walk rate are better against lefty's.

QC Wins 7-1
Franklin Perez wasn't dominant but he was very effective. He allowed just three hits in his five innings of work but the three walks make it less of a dominant outing. However, he struck out six and continues to strikeout more than his innings of work. Add in that he still hasn't given up a home run in his 40 innings of work, Perez is showing some production to back up his scouting reports.

TC Wins 7-3 on Heels of Valdez and Wrenn
Framber Valdez is an example as to why you don't have to be 16 to sign out of Latin America to be given an opportunity. He's 22 and pitching in just his second year professionally. Yet, he had a good strikeout rate in the DSL and it's continued to Greeneville and now TC (small sample sizes of course). But, the walks have also gone down. The big thing though is that his ground ball rate has been great. 2.68 GO/AO in the DSL and a 3.25 GO/AO in 19 innings for Greeneville. But, mostly thanks to his 11/0 GO/AO in last nights game, he has a 14.00 GO/AO ratio for TC. When he needs a groundout...he's getting one.
There's not a lot to say about Stephen Wrenn that hasn't already been said. But, eight home runs in 20 games is impressive. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get some time in QC and soon.

Toro-Hernandez Makes Pro Debut in 8-4 Loss
Abraham Toro-Hernandez is one of the more intriguing prospects from this years draft class. He's a relative unknown with some impressive JuCo stats, so there's a lot of intrigue. His debut was nothing to stand out other than they already know he has potential to impact the game or they wouldn't bat him fourth.
Miguel Angel Sierra hit his sixth home run and is now tied for second in league home runs with a 23 year-old third baseman and a 22 year-old left fielder. He's an 18 year-old short stop that is batting in the lead off spot.
