HAPPY BREGMAN DAY, EVERYONE!

Triple A: Bregmanless Fresno (53-46) beat Albuquerque(44-57), 6-2

Brady Rodgers continues adding to his bid to join the big club at some point. The under the radar prospect has been really good over the last month and a half. Tyler Heineman was 4 for 4. Tyler White walked twice and singled.

Double A: Corpus Christi(61-39) squanders lead to Frisco(51-48), 7-6 (including a brawl)

If MLB wants a rivalry between the Astros and the Rangers, they're trying to brew one in double A. A brawl between the Hooks and Riders broke out after Yohander Mendez of the Riders plunked Danry Vasquez in the leg and Vasquez charged the mound. A melee ensued and ejections followed. I'll use Ian Steele's of KIII Sports of Corpus Christi twitter account to document:

BRING THE HATE EARLY AND OFTEN. Derek Fisher came in and walked 3 times with a stolen base, so that was about it outside of a brawl and a Hooks loss.

Class A Short-Season: Tri-City(19-17) walk off on Vermont(17-19), 6-5

Carmen Benedetti, the 12th round pick from Michigan was the hero on Sunday. The Valley Cats went into the bottom of the 9th down by one run. After Alexander De Goti and Ryne Birk drew walks, Stephen Wrenn attempted to sacrifice them both over into scoring position, but the first basemen made an error allowing Wrenn to reach and loading the bases. Benedetti hit a liner up the middle to score De Goti and Birk and send the home team fans home happy.
