AAA Fresno Grizzlies: All-Star Break

AA Corpus Christi Hooks: Off day

High A Lancaster JetHawks: Off day

Low A Quad Cities River Bandits: Off day

SS Tri-City ValleyCats: 4-3 loss to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers

Quiet night on the minor league slate for the Astros. ValleyCats starter Sebastian Kessay had a rather strange line. The good part: eight strikeouts over four and two thirds innings. Unfortunately he allowed eight hits (one home run) and four runs in his outing. He's now struckout 45 batters in 35 innings, but his other numbers don't look as impressive.

Outfielder Stephen Wrenn posted another fine night, going 1-3 with a run, a walk, and a double. First baseman Taylor Jones went 3-4 with a run and a double.

GCL Astros: 9-3 loss to the GCL Marlins

The GCL Astros took a 3-0 lead into the sixth inning, but then allowed nine unanswered runs over the final four frames.

Jorge Guzman posted the best pitching line, throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts and only allowing a hit and a walk.

Second baseman L.P. Pelletier went 2-4 with a run scored. Carlos Machado drove in two runs and doubled. Shortstop Juan Mauricio went 1-2 with a walk, stolen base and run scored.
