The Houston Astros will have a major presence on Team U.S.A. in Sunday's 2016 MLB Futures Game at Petco Park in San Diego. Houston had two players selected to the game: right-handed pitcher Joe Musgrove and infielder Alex Bregman.
Today, Major League Baseball announced that Musgrove would be the starting pitcher for Team U.S.A. and Bregman would start at third base and bat in the No. 2 in the batting lineup.

Musgrove, 23, was acquired by the Astros from the Blue Jays in 2012 as part of the Brandon Lyon trade. Musgrove was 2-1 with 0.34 ERA in six games with Double A Corpus Christi. He is 3-3 2ith a 4.60 ERA in eight starts at Triple-A Fresno.
Bregman, 22, was the second overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft by the Astros. Bregman batted .297 (70x236) with 54 runs scored, 16 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, and 46 RBIs in 62 games with Double-A Corpus. He is batting .389 (14x36) with 10 runs scored, three doubles, five home runs, and 14 RBIs in eight games with Triple-A Fresno.
