Keith Law's 3.0 mock draft has Astros selecting T.J. Zeuch

For the second mock a row, Law picks a college arm for the Astros.

ESPN senior writer Keith Law has always been a prominent source for MLB Draft coverage each season. This season he has much different task for projecting the Houston Astros as the team isn't picking in the top five for the first time in a handful of years.

Law's first mock had the Astros selecting right-handed pitcher Forrest Whitley out of Alamo Heights High School (San Antonio). In the following mocks he switched gears and went with a college arm in  RHP Cody Sedlock out of Illinois.

Now in his most recent mock just a few days ahead of the draft, Law has the Astros selecting Pittsburgh RHP T.J. Zeuch.

Law said of the move:

I've heard the Astros linked to prep arms (Whitley in particular) and college arms, so I guess you could say they're looking for a pitcher.

Zeuch was 6-1 with a 3.10 ERA in 10 starts last season he struck out 74 and walked 19 with the Panthers.

Subber10 profiled Zeuch this past week, saying:

Who doesn't love the long armed pitcher? The guy who releases it like seven feet in the air and like 30 feet from the plate? Hitters. That's what scouts drool over with these tall and long levered pitchers. And that's what T.J. Zeuch is.
