Preview
The Astros snuck away with a win late on Monday and now turn to Scott Feldman for a spot start on Tuesday.
Feldman, 33, is making his first start since April 24 because Lance McCullers has a blister on his right index finger. Feldman was 0-2 with a 4.58 ERA in four starts before being replaced by Chris Devenski. Feldman found a more effective role out of the bullpen, he is 4-1 with a 1.85 ERA in 16 games.
Feldman is 6-9 with 4.57 ERA in 29 career games (18 starts) against the Angels. He is 2-7 with a 4.70 ERA in 16 career games (10 starts) at Angel Stadium. Current Angels are batting .262 (27x103) against Feldman with a .253 BABIP, 4.91 FIP, .253 BABIP, 10.6 K%, and a 4.4 BB%.
Former Giants great Tim Lincecum makes his third start as an Angel. Lincecum posted a quality start in his first outing and exited after three innings in his second start -- both starts came against Oakland.
Lincecum is 5-0 with a 0.99 ERA in nine career starts against Houston. Current Astros are batting .176 (6x34) against Lincecum with .238 BABIP, 1.99 FIP, 34.3 K%, and a 0.0 BB%.
