Triple-A: Fresno(31-37) falls to Tacoma(39-30), 1-0 in 12 innings

This loss is certainly not on the pitching staff. Mike Hauschild threw another gem. His ERA was 4.55 on May 5, but he has lowered it to 3.18 since then. He's a ground ball machine that has been striking out people at a decent cliip over his last 9 starts. Josh Fields, Kevin Chapman, and Jandel Gustave continued keeping the shutout on the board. Reymin Guduan came in and walked the bases loaded and allowed the game winning hit in the 12th.

AJ Reed had 2 hits. His OPS is at .839 in the month of June. I know he seems like he's close to ready, but I would like to see the K rate go down some more before he makes the jump.

Double-A: Hooks (46-23) beat up on San Antonio(22-47), 8-4

It's really good to see Teoscar figuring things out at AA. Wow, what a month of June he's had. Teoscar has slashed .361/.425/.513 over his last 30 days. Granted, that comes with a .412 BABIP, but he's completely changed who he is at the plate by dropping his K rate from 24.5% in 2015 to 17.5% so far in 2016. His BB rate has also increased from 6.4% to 10.2%. It's easy to forget about Teoscar after the awful 2015, but he's still listed at being younger than average in the Texas League at 23 years old.

Nick Tanielu has been slowly heating up ever since starting a tad slow after this promotion from Lancaster. He's slashig .279/.333/.488 over his last 7 days with a .294 BABIP.

Keegan Yuhl continued his winning ways. He's just one of many Astros farm hands that spots a fantastic K/BB ratio and a WHIP barely over 1.

This Hooks team is flat out loaded. They are the youngest team in the Texas League and flat out dominated it. There are more than several future big leaguers on this team. It's an exciting group.

Class A Advanced: Bakersfield(37-33) bludgeons Lancaster(34-35), 12-2

It was a hot day in Lancaster, but the wind wasn't out of control. Dean Deetz issued 5 free passes and allowed 7 hits. Ouch.

Drew Ferguson and Brooks Marlow doubled. Bryan Muniz had 2 hits.

The JetHawks also committed 5 errors. Yikes.

Class A: Quad Cities(31-38) beats Cedar Rapids(36-33), 4 to 3

Myles Straw has been a nice bright spot for the River Bandits this year. He's sporting a .313/.393/.427 slash with a decent 14:22 BB/K ratio. He's also stolen 7 bases in 26 games. He was a 2015 12th Rounder out of St. Johns River State College

Justin Ferrell, an Oklahoma JUCO kid from Round 36 of the 2014 draft, pitched well in the win.

Class A Short-Seaon: Tri-City(1-2) falls to Brooklyn(1-2) by a score of 2-1

Tri-City out-hit Brooklyn, but didn't outscore them. Carmen Benedetti, 12th rounder from Michigan, had 3 hits and is batting .500 after 3 games into the season.

Ronnie Dawson made his debut as a DH and went 0-4 with a K.
