Preview

There is nothing like playing an extra inning game and turning around to play a day game. At least the Astros aren't traveling away from Houston after the game.

Thursday's game slates two of the best pitchers in baseball over the past few seasons: Dallas Keuchel and Zack Greinke. But both have struggled this season.

Dallas Keuchel has been terrible in the month of May, posting a 6.63 ERA over six starts. But he did end the month with a solid start, allowing just two runs over seven innings against the Angels.

Current Diamondbacks are batting .137 (7x51) against Keuchel with a .200 BABIP, 2.43 FIP, 27.1 K%, and an 11.9 BB%.

Zack Greinke was 2-2 with a 5.50 ERA in six starts in April and 4-1 with a 3.82 ERA in May. Frankly he has been up and down with stellar performances followed by small 7-run outings. Greinke has given up four or more runs in five starts this season and given up two or less in six other starts.

Current Astros are batting .289 (26x90) with a .377 BABIP, 29.0 K%, 2.2 BB%, and a 2.77 FIP.
