The Houston Astros looked like a regular ole' National League team in their win against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. The Astros look to pick up the short series win against the Red Bids with Collin McHugh on the mound on Wednesday.

Collin McHugh will once again have to rebound from a staggering start, he gave up four runs in 3 2/3 inning on June 9 against the Rangers. McHugh is 0-1 with an 8.00 ERA in his two starts in June. A stack contrast to his final start in May in which he pitched nine innings against the Diamondbacks on May 30.

McHugh will still be a new challenge for most of the Cardinals. Only Yadier Molina and Matt Holliday have more than three career at-bats against McHuhg. Matt Adams is the only hitter with clear success in a small sample size, he is 2-for-2 with a double in his career against McHugh.

McHugh is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in his one career start at Busch Stadium. Current Cardinals are batting .313 (5x16) against McHugh with a .294 BABI, 3.20 FIP, 0.0 K%, and a 0.0 BB%.

Adam Wainwright pitched six strong innings aginst the Reds in his last start, striking out six. Wainwright has been hittable this season posting a 7.16 ERA in April and a 4.62 ERA in May. But he appears to have figured it out a bit in June, allowing just four runs over his last 13 innings.

Wainwright is 13-1 with a 1.57 ERA in 21 appearances (15 starts) against the Houston Astros. Current Astros are batting .330 (29x88) against Wainright with a .375 BABIP, 3.72 FIP, 14.7 K%, and a 4.2 BB%.
