The Houston Astros worked hard this past week to fill their 2016 Draft class. The team has already started the process of signing a few of their draft picks including second round pick Ronnie Dawson, 3rd round pick Jake Rogers, and 5th round pick c
Dawson, the 61st pick overall, is reported by SBNation's Chris Cotillo to have signed with the Astros for $1,056,800 at slot value. Dawson batted .331 (85x257) at Ohio State in his junior season with 25 doubles, four triples, 13 home runs, 55 runs scored, 51 RBIs, 21 stolen bases, .419 on-base percentage, and a .611 slugging percentage in his junior season.

Rogers, the 97th pick overall, signed at slot value, $614,000, per MLB.com's Brian McTaggart. Rogers, a Tulane junior from Canyon, TX, batted .261 (55x211) for the Green Wave last season with nine doubles, seven home run, 28 RBIs, 46 runs scored, .384 on-base percentage, and a .403 slugging percentage.
Jake Rogers signed for $614,000, which is slot value.

McTaggart is reporting that the Astros have signed 5th round pick Abraham Toro-Hernandez. Toro-Hernandez, a was a freshman at Seminole State College. He is a switch hitter and played catcher out of high school. The Astros have him listed as a third baseman. Toro batted .439 (90x205) with 14 doubles, five triples, 20 home runs, 86 RBIs, 94 runs scored, and eight stolen bases.

McTaggart is also reporting the Astros have signed their eight, ninth, and 10th-round picks of the draft: University of Houston right-handed pitcher Nick Hernandez, Tennessee Wesleyan College left-handed pitcher Ryan Hartman, and Northeastern right-handed pitcher Dustin Hunt.

There not details on Hartman and Hunt's deals but Hernandez told McTaggart he signed a bit under slot.
Herandez served as the primary closer and picked up 11 of the teams 15 saves. He was a dominant reliever in the AAC with a 1.40 ERA in 51 1/3 innings.
Hartman was 10-1 with a 0.64 ERA in 98 innings with TWC in 2016, he allowed 7 earned runs on 62 hits with 12 walks and 129 strikeouts.
Hunt was 6-3 with a 2.72 ERA in 14 starts with Northeastern. He allowed 26 earned runs on 68 hits, 27 walks, and struck out 93 batters over 86 innings pitched.
Jason Munz with the Hattiesburg American is reporting that the Astros have reached an agreement with 21st pick Chuckie Robinson.

Robinson hit .288 with 44 RBIs, 31 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, and seven home runs.

There was also news of one non-signing thus far. Mark Berman is reporting that the Astros will not be signing Anthony DeFrancesco. DeFrancesco is the son of Triple-A manager Tony DeFrancesco. The Astros selected Anthony out of Red Mountain High School, but he plans to head to junior college.
