The editor has been called into duty to fill in for the minor league recap. This is like calling Dave Borkowski to mop up, it should horribly wrong.
Rodgers shines against Lincecum, Griz win 1-0
It appears that the Fresno Grizzles' Brady Rodgers may have figured something out. He was named the Astros' Triple-A pitcher of the month and keeps putting up solid starts. Sunday was no exception. Rodgers hurled eight scoreless innings, allowing two hits, zero walks, and eight strikeouts. His counter Tim Lincecum also fanned eight over seven innings.
The Grizzlies' one run came on a balk. Jose Valdez replaced Lincecum, and he proceeded to give up singles to Nolan Fontana and Jack Mayfield. He then pushed over Fontana with a wild pitch and balked him home.
