Fresno Gets Lancaster'd 17-4
That's a rough night. It started out rough of starter Mike Hauschild. He allowed six of those runs in the first inning however none of them were considered earned because of a Nolan Fontana error. The issue is that four of those six runs came on a grand slam following that error. He would end up allowing five more runs on the night before being pulled. Chris Cotton made followed up with his Triple-A debut and promptly gave up five runs. Not a pretty debut.
Here's an interesting bit about the lineup. AJ Reed played again and picked up a double in his only plate appearance. But, that was all he did. He was replaced by Eury Perez who was inserted into LF. The LF moved in to AJ Reed's 1B position. And, that was Jon Singleton. Jon Singleton played LF.

Emmanuel Returns From TJ in Hooks 4-2 Win
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tommy John recovery isn't easy and Kent Emmanuel has succeeded. He was able to go five innings in his first outing since pitching just 14 2/3 innings in 2015. He allowed just five base runners and struck out two. He only needed 61 pitches, 41 of which were strikes. Not a standout performance individually but it is as a first time back in live action since a major surgery.

Deetz Controls 2-1 JetHawks Win
The most impressive thing that Dean Deetz has done this season is that he's only given up one home run in the California League. Not an easy task and see their Thursday game as evidence. Last night was another good outing for him as it was his turn to pitch a little deeper. He tossed 81 pitches over six innings and allowed just one unearned run. The secret with Lancaster is to keep the ball on the ground and he induced seven ground balls to the three flyballs.

Michelena Continues Hot Start for QC in 7-4 Win
Arturo Michelena was the 40th ranked international prospect in 2011 and signed for $220,000. He hasn't done very much since signing. He's never had an OPS over .621. His best OBP is .320 and that in 2014 in the GCL. However, he's gotten off to a very hot start in the Midwest League for Quad Cities. In six games he's batting .455 and has an OPS of .935. Now, this is as small of a sample as you can pretty much get. He hasn't walked and he has a double as his only extra-base hit.
