Nothing was funny about the end result of the Astros' extra inning loss on Saturday. But there was one funny moment in the game. The camera caught an interaction between Astros third baseman Luis Valbuena and Red Sox first baseman Hanley Ramirez.
After a pick off move from Boston starter Clay Buchholz in the second inning, Valbuena rose up from tagging the base. Ramirez threw the ball back to the pitcher. Everything was normal except for one thing, Ramirez had a deadpan look on his face and his glove loaded to tag Valbuena. Ramirez was jokingly attempting the hidden ball trick without the ball.
At that moment, Valbuena turned on detective mode. He talked to Ramirez, who didn't change his expression. Valbuena finally pried open Ramirez's glove to find no ball.
The case was solved! Now, time to get detective Valbuena on why the Astros are struggling so much this season.
