Astros minor league teams go 1-2 on Saturday while the River Bandits are rained out.

Fresno shuts down the Chihuahuas, 3-0

The Grizzlies picked up the Astros minor league teams' only win on Saturday -- shutting out El Paso 3-0.

A.J. Reed singled, moved to second on a Jon Singleton walk, and scored on a Danny Worth single in the first inning. Tony Kemp added another run in the fifth with a triple, scoring Eury Perez. Jake Marisnick singled home Kemp.

Mike Hauschild pitched seven scoreless innings for Fresno. Jandel Gustave and James Hoyt combined for two clean innings of relief.

Hooks fall apart in the 9th against Frisco, 4-3

The Corpus Christi Hooks led 3-1 going into the bottom of the ninth inning against the Frisco Roughriders. After the dust settled, the Hooks led the game with a 4-3 loss.

Chase McDonald got the Hooks on the board with a two-run home run in the fifth. James Ramsay played add-on for the Hooks in the ninth inning. He walked and moved to second on a wild pitch. He would score on Frisco fielding error.

Brendan McCurry came into close the game for the Hooks. He allowed the leadoff hitter, Ryan Cordell, to reach on a single. Ronald Guzman followed with a single of his own. Luis Mendez walked to load the bases with one out.

McCurry rebounded by striking out Alberto Triunfel. But then hit Isiah Kiner-Falefa with a pitch and walked Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Zach Cone hit the walk-off single for the Roughriders.

Storm sink JetHawks late, 3-2

Lancaster jumped out to 2-0 lead at Lake Elsinore to only have the Strom come back last for the win, 3-2. Luis Reynoso doubled to lead off the third inning, later stealing home. Reynoso led off the fifth with another double, this time scoring on a Jason Martin single.

Luis Tejada supplied a two-run home to tie the game at 2-2. Josh VanMeter and River Stevens singled to put runners on the corners for the Storm in the seventh. Franchy Cordero grounded into a fielder's choice allowing VanMeter to score.

Lancaster Brock Dykxhoorn allow one run on five hits over 5 2/3 innings.

The game between West Michigan and Quad Cities was postponed due to rain. The teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday.
