The Houston Astros' second game of the 2016 season has been a slugfest. Unfortunately for the Astros, they have been on the wrong side of that slugfest so far. But, one of the few highlights thus far for Houston has come from George Springer.
The Astros loaded the bases with a single with Luis Valbuena, a double from Preston Tucker, and a hit-by-pitch from Jose Altuve. George Springer stepped to bat and connected on a 0-1 fastball. Springer's sweeping swing lifted the ball up and out over the left-center field wall for a grand slam and #SpringerDinger No.1.
The subtle bat flip was a nice touch from Springer, not overstated. At the time of the home run, it pulled Houston with one run at 6-5. But the Yankees would add a few more home runs to double their lead.
It's still good to have Springer Dingers back.
