Preview

If Dallas Keuchel can't stop the Houston Astros' losing streak, maybe Collin McHugh can? Right? Anybody? Who's with me? (Crickets Sounds)

Both Houston teams will be playing games that start after 9 p.m -- the Rockets take on the Warriors at 9:30 p.m. tonight. I guess that only helps people who want to sleep instead of watch one team's season end and another struggle mightily. But at least for the Astros, this is just start of the season.

McHugh may just be the right man for the job to stop the Astros' losing ways. He is 3-0 with a 1.66 ERA in three starts at SafeCo Field. McHugh could use a pick-me-up as well, he is has given up 10 hits in each of his last two starts. His only positive start of the season came during the Astros home opener where he worked around eight hits for the win.

Current Mariners are batting .242 (24x99) against McHugh with a .239 BABIP, 5.630 FIP, 19.81 K%, and a 4.00 BB%.

Countering McHugh is Hisashi Iwakuma. Iwakuma hasn't been as solid to start the season as he has for much up his Mariners' career. He is still looking for his first win with a 0-2 record and 3.81 ERA in four starts. Iwakuma is 4-4 with a 3.77 ERA in 10 career starts against Houston.

Iwakuma allowed just two runs over eight innings against the Los Angeles Angels in his last start (4/22).Current Astros are batting .248 (39x157) with a .282 BABIP, 3.747 FIP, 20.36 K%, and 2.00 BB%.
