Triple A: Fresno (7-9) loses 7-12 at Reno (7-10)

AJ Reed probably had a bitter taste in his mouth after striking out in a big spot last night. He cleansed his palate tonight with 2 hits, one of those being a grand slam. Colin "Get a Brain" Moran, Jon Singleton, and Matt Duffy all had 2 hits a piece also.

Let me just take a minute and have a semi-hot take. Folks keep running Colin Moran's stat line out there and wondering when he's going to get the call over Valbuena. He's not ready, based on the numbers. He's hitting .294/.339/.392. His ISO has dropped down to .098. This all comes with a 7.1% BB rate, 26.8% K rate, and a .389 BABIP. I think Colin will eventually be the Astros 3rd baseman, but he doesn't need to be yet. The Astros should keep platooning Marwin and Valbuena for now.

One of my under the radar favorites, Mike Hauschild, got lit up in this one. He's an extreme ground baller with a low K and BB rate, but this one really got away from him. I've always thought he had a future as a Chris Sampson type starter for the Astros.

Double A: Frisco at Corpus Christi Postponed due to Rain

Just in case you didn't see this, Alex Bregman is going to be OK.

Class A Advanced: Lancaster (5-10) loses 4-8 at High Desert (14-4)

Scott Weathersby was Cal League'd with 2 homers launched against him. Another under the radar favorite pitched well in this one. Brock Dykxhoorn struck out 4 over 4.1 innings pitched.

Bobby Boyd had a nice little 2-hit evening. He's also stolen 9 bases in 11 games. He's on pace to steal a ton of bags this year (90-100 if he maintains this pace, which is unlikely). He seems like a Willy Taveras starter kit with less arm, but more walks.

Daz appears to be in a daze because he has yet to dazzle us at the dish. He's rung up 26 strikeouts in 59 ABs. He's 19 and in A ball, but he really appears over matched right now.

On the other hand, our other 19 year old here is off to a decent start. Kyle Tucker, AB's bae, is hitting .286 with a .758 OPS which has him at a  126 wRC+. He made his 12th career start in CF today.
