Delino DeShields was deep Rule 5 draft casualty for the Houston Astros a season back. It cut even deeper that DeShields has worked his way into the starting lineup for the Texas Rangers over last season.
On Tuesday, former teammate Chris Devenski made his presence known to DeShields. DeShields initial got the upper hand following a bunt single against Josh Fields.
Devenski entered the game following DeShields' at-bat and made a pickoff attempt against DeShields. The call field initially was safe, but Astros manager A.J. Hinch called for a review. Upon further review, the call was overturned and DeShields was called out.
It is a very close play and solid tag from first baseman Tyler White. It appears the umpires did get te call right after a second look.
DeShields's face after getting called out reminded me of something...I can't put my finger on it...oh yeah...
