Astros Jose Altuve and George Springer hit back-to-back home runs

One of the few highlights from Tuesday was George Springer and Jose Altuve's bats.

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and outfielder George Springer have been red-hot swinging the bats this week. Altuve was the American League Player of the week and Springer went 6-for-12 with four runs scored, two home runs and three RBIs in three games against the Tigers.

The hot start continued in game one against the Texas Rangers. Springer went 2-for-5 and Altuve was 1-for-5 with two RBIs. Both batters combined for back-to-back home runs against Tony Barnette. Both Altuve and Springer pushed Barnette to 3-2 counts before hitting their home runs.

The Springer home run for a moment looked like a flashback to another near home run. Ranger outfielder Gary Matthews Jr. pulled back Mike Lamb's home run in 2006.

It appeared Delino DeShields had brought the ball back, but the ball wasn't in DeShields' glove as he sat against the wall.
