Medlen was skipped in the first go-around of starts for the Royals. He will be making his first start of the season on Tuesday. This spring, he was 1-1 with a 5.94 ERA.
Medlen signed with the Royals before the 2015 season and was sent the 60-day disabled list twice during the year.
