The Houston Astros were featured earlier this month on MLB Network's "30 Clubs in 30 Days" series. The reigning American League Cy Young award winner talked with John Smoltz about pitching in general and going into the 2016 season.

The MLB Network crew also took the time to give their predictions for the Astros this season:

Smoltz: "Well the glass is definitely half full. ... I'm buying, I think they're going to win the division, I think last year was not a fluke, and I think they go one step further and fall just a little bit short of their ultimate goal and that's falling in the ALCS. So, I see the Astros with the additions they've made as a vast improvement over last year."

Al Leiter: "I think really, ultimately they've improved. You're going to have a full year of Carlos Correa, I like Ken Giles the closer, we talked about it during the show, the experience that they had last year. Here it is right [here], basement, a few years ago for sure, to the lobby last year, and now they're knocking on the penthouse, that's right. ... They're going to win the division but they're going to fall short in the ALCS, they're not going to go to the World Series. They're going to go past, they're going to have a better eighth inning in their DS unlike [last year] against Kansas City and they're going to be that much closer. I like this team."
