ESPN's Keith Law this week released his Top 100 baseball prospects, that included four Astros -- Alex Bregman (No.19), Francis Martes (No.40), A.J. Reed (No. 44), and Kyler Tucker (No. 67). Law noted on Friday that Astros' 37th overall (compensation round) selection Daz Cameron just missed the top 100 list.
The Houston Astros have had some spectacular drafts under general manager Jeff Luhnow. The 2015 draft class may go down as the strongest because Daz Cameron. It was perfect match as Cameron had high salary requests and the Astros had the largest bonus pool.
Cameron batted .222 (44x211) with four doubles, three triples, 17 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, .326 on-base percentage, and .250 slugging percentage in 51 games between the Gulf Coast League Astros and Rookie Ball Greeneville.
