Astros announce Spring Training schedule; pitcher and catcher report Feb. 14

So begins life in Palm Beach.

Spring Training will have a different flavor for the Houston Astros in 2017. New location. New ballpark. New roommate.

The Astros announced their 2017 Spring Training schedule for the inaugural season of the new Ballpark of the Palm Beaches located in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Astros will play their first game at their new ballpark on Feb. 28 against the Washington Nationals, the team that the Astros sharing the ballpark with. The Feb. 28 will be the first official in the newly-constructed, 7,500-seat facility — that includes a 160-acre site, will feature separate, modern training complexes that will include several baseball diamonds, clubhouses, weight-training facilities and offices for front office personnel.

Astros pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Spring Training camp on Feb. 14, with workouts beginning Feb. 15. Position players report Feb. 17, with workouts beginning Feb. 18.In addition to the Grapefruit League games in Florida, the Astros will play two exhibition games at Minute Maid Park against the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs.

Fans can purchase Spring Training season tickets and tickets for suites and party decks for games at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in Florida beginning Nov. 28 at 8 a.m. CT by calling 844-676-2017. Spring Training tickets for individual games in Florida will be available in January.
