Astros 3, Angels 0: Doctor McHugh’s campaign ends strong

Gattis powers offense with two RBIs.

Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels are playing for pride. Collin McHugh left Saturday start full of pride after shutting down the Halos for 7 23 innings on Saturday night at Angels Stadium. Evan Gattis powered the Astros offense with two RBIs to complement’s McHugh’s stellar outing in an Astros’ 3-0 win.

While McHugh shut down the Angels. Jake Marsinick continued to build his case to start in center in 2017. A single with runners on first-third from Marisnick scored Tyler White in the second.

Gattis scored Yulieski Gurriel in the third with single. Gurriel led off the inning with a double.

Jose Altuve led off the seventh with a single and stole second. He scored on a Gattis RBI single.

Ken Giles completed his 15th save of the season after giving up a double to C.J. Cron and walking Andrelton Simmons.

Houston finishes the 2016 season with a chance to go for 85 wins in the season.
