Its time for the same song and dance with the baseball Hall of Fame. Last year, Craig Biggio became the first player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Houston Astro. Astros all-time great Jeff Bagwell is now waiting his turn.
This is Bagwell's sixth year on the ballot, he has previously received 41.7percent (2011), 56 (2012), 59.6 (2013), 54.3 (2014) and 55.7 (2015). He needs 75 percent of the BBWAA writers' votes to be elected.
Joining Bagwell on the ballot this year is follow former Astros closer Billy Wagner. Wagner spent nine years with the Astros, posting a 26-29 record with a 2.53 ERA, 694 strikeouts and 225 saves in 504 1/3 innings.
At the moment (as of 1:30 PM CT), Ryan Thibodaux's Hall of Fame ballot Tracker lists Bagwell at 77.6 percent and Wagner at 9.5 percent with 44.7 percent of the votes counted.
At 201 ballots with Mooney and Kubatko added. At 44.7% of the estimated total. Had 36% last year. pic.twitter.com/6sBMzqrrAC
