A hidden gem out of New Zealand. Tami Neilson has been described as "a country music genetic experiment gone good... like the result of Patsy Cline and Wanda Jackson having a baby". I'd say that's a pretty apt description. Her latest single "Lonely" was originally a demo recorded my Neilson's father back in 1972. She rediscovered the demo a week after he passed and re-recorded it for her new album Don't Be Afraid, coming out later this month.
