Greeneville falls in playoff game and Danry Vasquez continues hot hitting.

Straily Kinda Gets Back on Track in 4-3 Loss

Four runs in five innings isn't good. But, it's better than the nine runs and the eight runs he gave up in his last two starts.

I don't know what happened with Tyler Heinemann but he's now hit two home runs in the last ten games. He's showing power!

Vasquez Continues Hot Hitting in 3-1 Win

Danry Vasquez has had a a tough transition to Double-A but has improved every single month so far. He finally posted an OPS over .700 in the month of August but still lacked power with an ISO under .100. However, he did hit a double last night, giving him his eleventh since the All-Star break. You have to keep in mind that power doesn't really start to really develop until around ages 21-23. So, he could be a late bloomer in the power section. This is the same hitter that hit nine home runs in the Mid-West League back in 2013 as a 19-year old. There's power some power there and you'll have to be patient.

QC Gets 13 Hits in 11-5 Win

The first four hitters in the lineup each had two hits. Four players had doubles and two had triples (those two also had doubles), and one hit a home run. I'm really intrigued by Drew Ferguson. He just seems to hit very well. But, I'd like to see how his power develops before I get too excited.

Goedert Homers in 2-1 Playoff Loss

Game one of a series with Kingsport ends with a loss. Greeneville led from the bottom of the fourth until the top of the seventh but went down in the top of the ninth and couldn't recover in the bottom. But, good thing is that they live to fight another day.
