Fresh off of winning the Pacific Coast League and Triple A title, the Astros have called up first baseman Jon Singleton.

He will be available for the Astros today against the Angels at 1:05 p.m. He was able to make the early start after Tuesday's Triple A Championship game, because it was played in El Paso. A two-hour flight across Texas.
Singleton is batting .254 (96x378) with 25 doubles, two triples, 22 home run, 64 walks, 72 runs scored, and 83 RBIs. He hasn't been able to find his footing in the majors, he is batting .172 with 150 strikeouts in 354 major league at-bats.
