Astros recall Dan Straily after PCL victory

Straily to pitch out of the bullpen.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Fresno Grizzlies wrapped up the 2015 Pacific Coast League Championship. Dan Straily played a big part in the Grizzlies success -- allowed just two earned runs over 13 innings in the PCL playoffs.

Straily was 10-9 with a 4.77 ERA in 22 starts with the Grizzlies this season. He has made three starts in the Majors with the Astros, posting a 0-1 record with a 5.87 ERA in 15 1/3 innings pitched.

Straily will pitch out the bullpen that can only help a taxed bullpen. Will Harris had made eight appearances, Pat Neshek six, Josh Fields seven, and Chad Qualls seven during the month of September. Even if Straily doesn't make the playoff roster, he'll help the Astros give a breather to those who are.

Straily, in his career, is 0-0 with a 14.04 ERA in six relief appearances.
