The Houston Astros farm system has one championship under their belt ready with Greenville winning the Appalachian League title. Triple A Fresno made it two Sunday night as they defeated the Rangers' Triple A Round Rock 7-3. It was the Grizzlies third win in the series to secure the 2015 Pacific Coast League.
The Astros farm system picked up right where the Giants left off in 2014 with Fresno. The Grizzlies finished first in the Pacific Northern division, holding a 13.5 game lead over rival Sacramento. Fresno entered the playoffs with the second best record in the PCL, 84-59.
The Grizzlies defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas 3-1 in a five-game series to reach the title game.
Tony Kemp was named the PCL playoff MVP, Kemp was 9-for-20 with four runs scored and four RBIs. To close out, Mark Appel pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out 10, walking two, and allowing three runs.

They will now play the International League Champion, the Indians Triple A affiliate Columbus Clippers, for the Triple A Championship in El Paso on Tuesday.
