The beard plays.

Dallas Keuchel's magical season continues. For the third time this season, Keuchel has been named American League Pitcher of the Month by Major League Baseball for the third time this season.

This past month, Keuchel went 4-1 in his six starts with a 1.94 ERA - with 41 strikeouts over 41 2/3 innings. Opposting hitters batted just .221 against Keuchel in August.

Keuchel adds August to his previous awards in April and May. He is the first pitcher in Astros history to win the award three times in one calendar year. The last American league pitcher to match this feat was the Twins' Johan Santana in '04. He won the Cy Young that year.

Keuchel is on track to collect the top award for pitcher in the American League, he led the AL in wins (16), was second in ERA (2.24), and innings pitched (192 2/3).

To top it off he is saying all the right things....
