The Astros weren't done making roster moves with the calendar turning over to September. Today, the Astros announced they have added outfielder. Houston recalled Preston Tucker to the major league roster from Triple A Fresno.

The Astros selected Tucker's contract on May 7, and sent him back to the minors on Aug. 23. In between that time he batted .250 with 12 home runs and 30 RBIs. Tucker struggled mightily in August before being sent down, batting .152 (7x46) with two home runs and two RBIs.

Tucker was optioned to make room for Lance McCullers. In eight games with the Grizzlies, Tucker batted .207 (6x29) with a home run and three RBIs.

The Astros have another power bat at their disposal  to come off the bench when called upon by Astros manager A.J. Hinch.
