George Springer, who is on a rehab assignment at Class AA Corpus Christi, is scheduled to speak with manager A.J. Hinch about his status after the Hooks’ game Thursday. Unless there are setbacks, it would not be surprising if Springer is cleared to be activated from the disabled list Friday.

Franklin Gutierrez and Mark Trumbo also homered for the Mariners, who twice squandered two-run leads.
