Astros Prospect Report: Fresno Down in Series 2-1

Fresno gets a poor outing from starter Brett Oberholtzer to dig a hole they were unable to overcome.

Fresno: 2 Round Rock: 6

The struggles of starting pitchers in the minor league playoffs continued last night for Fresno. This time, it was Brett Oberholtzer who allowed ten hits that led to six runs. Three of those hits were home runs. Lewis Brinson (Rangers 4th best prospect) served as the Express' lead-off hitter and hit two of the homers off of Oberholtzer. The first came in the first at-bat of the game which signaled a bad day early.

Offensively, Fresno didn't get anything going until the eighth inning when they were already down 6-0. Tyler White did what Tyler White does with a 2-5 night. Jon Singleton does what makes you cringe with a four strikeout performance.
