Round Rock Express 9, Fresno Grizzlies 8
The Astros and Rangers are playing on the major league level, while their respective Triple A teams battle it out for the Pacific Coast League crown. Unfortunately, the Astros and Grizzlies ended up on a wrong end in both games in devastating fashion.
Round Rock jumped out to a 7-1 lead after three innings. Mike Hauschild was roughed up for five earned runs.
Fresno chipped away at the Express lead. Jon Singleton doubled to lead off the sixth and scored on a Andrew Aplin single. Tyler White's two-run home run in the seventh push the margin to 7-4. Four runs in the eighth inning put the Grizzlies out front. Fresno got five hits in the inning, highlighted by a L.J. Hoes double.
The Express answered in the ninth. Nomar Mazara took the first pitch James Hoyt threw deep to center, tieing the game at 8 all.
Fresno had chances in the 10th and 11th inning with runners in scoring position, but couldn't push the winning run across. Juan Minaya walked home a run in the 12th to end the game.
